Susan Looney has over 28 years of strategic human resources experience. Susan has a passion for the HR field and it shows in her work and presentations. She has successfully worked with many different organizations and assisted them in developing strategies to improve not only their human resources activities, but their culture, communication and the skills of their management teams.
Susan has a degree in Personnel Administration from the University of Kansas. She has her SPHR (senior profession in human resources) and SHRM-SCP (senior certified professional). Susan has managed entire human resources departments. She has extensive experience with small to medium sized companies strategizing with them on various human resources functions, including: compliance, compensation programs, performance management strategies, policy and procedure development, talent management, and more. She also is a highly rated speaker who conducts interactive sessions on HR and management skills topics.
Susan Looney was with Cornerstone Credit Union League/CU Resources for over 22 years as the Sr. VP of Human Resources and CU Resources. In her last position at CU Resources, she managed over 45 employees and various lines of businesses including executive search, HR consulting, financial auditing, strategic planning and compliance consulting, She has served on a credit union board of directors and has been on the executive committee of various HR Councils. Susan recently left to start her own HR consulting company, Insight HR Strategies. Insight HR Strategies focuses on helping companies manage their most important assets... their employees.
